Charter Hall introduces new seating to improve customer comfort and experience

Charter Hall, Colchester’s largest indoor venue for live entertainment, is delighted to announce the installation of brand-new floor seating to both improve customer comfort and the overall event experience.

Known for hosting a wide range of events, from live music and top touring stand-up comedy to indoor sporting events and vibrant festivals, Charter Hall remains dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for visitors.

The upgraded seating reflects Charter Hall’s commitment to customer satisfaction, and is part of an ongoing scheme of improvements, ensuring a more enjoyable experience for audiences attending events at the venue.

The investment is well-timed, ahead of the venue’s largest run of shows to date: ELF: The Musical, starring Jake Quickenden as Buddy, takes place at Charter Hall from Saturday 14 December to 5 January 2025, with 36 matinees and evening performances across the festive period.

Simon Coward, Managing Director of Amphora commented on the investment: “We have listened to comments and suggestions that the old seats should be replaced and are delighted to invest in Charter Hall and ensure customer experience and comfort is improved.”

Amphora, Colchester City Council’s wholly owned company, manages Charter Hall and other council-owned venues across the city.

This improvement underscores Charter Hall’s mission to be a welcoming hub for Colchester’s vibrant cultural community and the thousands of visitors it attracts to the city.
