Colchester’s traditional Oyster Feast returns to Moot Hall on Friday, 28 October 2022.
Since it was first held in 1845, the Oyster Feast has celebrated Colchester’s rich heritage and community ties and established itself as a major occasion in the town’s civic calendar.
The Mayor of Colchester, Cllr Tim Young, cordially invites residents to join him, Mayoress Nicola Goodchild, invited guests and other Colchester residents for this historic annual event.
Colchester’s Oyster Feast is wholly funded from the sale of tickets to those attending. Tickets cost £98 per person and include a delicious meal, afternoon entertainment, special guest speakers and more!
You can enter the ticket ballot by emailing your name, address and contact phone number to mayor@colchester.gov.uk or alternatively drop a written application to The Civic Officer c/o Mayor’s Parlour, Town Hall, or post to Colchester Borough Council, 33 Sheepen Road, Colchester, CO3 3WG.
Applications must be received by 10 October and will be entered in the ballot for two tickets – unless applicants state only one ticket is required.
The Mayor and Mayoress said: “We are so delighted and excited to be hosting this year’s Oyster Feast, which will be a wonderful occasion to celebrate the borough’s rich heritage and diverse culture.
“Our dress code this year is Diversity Fabulous, so please come in whatever makes you feel fabulous and most YOU!”
Guest speakers will be announced at a later date.
