Colchester's Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy for 2020-2025 was produced by the Homelessness Strategy Project Group which included Colchester Borough Council and partner organisations who are committed to preventing homelessness in the borough. Consultation with service users who have recent experience of homelessness was fed into the Strategy and Delivery Plan.
The Strategy will achieve its aims and objectives through the implementation of a 5-year Delivery Plan that will tackle homelessness in the borough, by working closely with partner organisations and focusing on early interventions that prevent homelessness. The progress on the actions will be monitored and evaluated by the members of the Homelessness Strategy Project Group.
Research and information on homelessness and rough sleeping in Colchester have been used to develop an evidence base for the strategy. The evidence base includes data and commentary on the current and predicted future levels of homelessness, homelessness prevention and the housing market in the borough.
The Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy 2020-2025, Progress Report, Delivery Plan and Evidence Base are available to view and download.
