As from 1 April 2015, there will be an administrative charge associated with processing an application in order to allow consent, vary or remove a covenant placed on the ex-council property.
All property sold under the Right To Buy scheme is subject to restrictive covenants, which are good estate management practice and/or promote the wider duties of the Council as a land owner. Owners must seek approval from the Council if they want to do anything to the property which would otherwise breach a covenant specified within the Right To Buy conveyance.

If a Deed of variation is required an additional fee is payable which will be determined by the Council's Estate team.
